Rosie Henderson – Soprano & New Finance Lead

I’m a relatively new member, having joined in January 2020, a few weeks before lockdown.

I enjoyed the choir so much that I joined the committee to help out in all aspects of running the choir.

I’ve always sung in choirs since school days. school, university, small village choir, various community choirs.

Choir singing has enabled me to sing in some wonderful venues – Canterbury Cathedral, Norwich cathedral, Westminster Abbey and the Festival Hall, also recording for BBC schools’ programmes with Douglas Coombes.

Benefits of singing in a choir – good for your physical and mental well-being. Keeps your brain active. A great way to make new friends. The Oyster Singers is genuinely the friendliest choir I have belonged to. I enjoy helping to fundraise for charity, doing something I enjoy so much.
